Biography
ROBERT NYEL
American Impressionist
Poet, writer, composer, singer and painter, Robert Nyel possesses many talents and expresses them all with a great sensibility.
Born in Grasse, the world capitol of flowers and the perfume industry, Robert Nyel learned and worked in the graphic art industry as well as studied fine art at the “Atelier De La Chaumi’Ere” in Paris, France.
Nyel’s career was launched by the great critic, Armand Drouant who helped his career to flourish and said of him, “Robert makes art exhibitions like ‘Salon Del’Arm’Ee,’ ‘Surined’Pendants,’ and ‘Priz De La Jeune Peinture,’ where he is often a prizewinner and hangs in the esteemed company of Picasso, Cottavoz, Altman and Ozenfant.”
In Robert’s mind, to write, compose, or paint is all about the same, an artistic calling to create great beauty, in his case with a great choice of medium. His painting, however, has afforded him the greatest recognition. His fluorescent palate helps him to communicate his inner warmth and enthusiasm for life.
Today, Robert Nyel is prizewinner and member of several art exhibitions. His paintings are shown in different French and foreign galleries, and in many private collections such as Julliett Greco and Edith Plaf. He is listed in the prestigious E. Benezit (Dictionannaire Des Peintres, Sculptors Dessinateurs Et Graveurs).
