ANDRE INGLOT

Painter of Light

Born in Zary, Poland in 1948, André Inglot’s artistic schooling began at L’Ecole des Beaux Arts de Polonge. Inglot is a member of the Polish Artist Association, and was a delegate for contemporary exhibitions to the National Museum of Ziemia Lubuska from 1979 to 1981. He was decorated with the Merit for the Culture of the Region of Zielona Gora in 1980. Later Inglot entered the prestigious Academie de Versailles in France.

In 1981 while traveling in Europe, Inglot was reborn. Seduced by the beauty of Normandy, he found pleasure in its vistas and colors. Inglot shares with us a romantic, lush and vibrant landscape, ebullient yet peaceful. You can step into his paintings and feel the cool grass on a serene summer field, the rain at a busy marketplace, the cobbled stones under your feet, and the first morning breeze filling the gaff-rigged boats. There is soul and life in his compositions. He is a genius at expressing a moment in time.

His style is reminiscent of the old masters; Vermeer and Rembrandt. His palette knife and brush stroke add a radiance of light, and his muted colors harmonize true to life. The result is a charm held in abeyance that is uniquely Andre Inglot.

He quickly became well known, and has been honored as a participant in group exhibitions with Rene Bretheret and Strichling Molen. Inglot has been featured in numerous exhibitions throughout Europe including Honfleur, Etrange, Paris, Holland, The United States and his homeland Poland just to mention a few.

The awards bestowed upon André Inglot are many. To mention a few, he was the recipient of the Gold Medal from Revue Regionale de l’Art Polonais, the Gold medal from Salon d’Autumne, and the Silver Medal from Concours de l’Art de la Region Ouest- also from Poland. In addition André Inglot is world famous for his large murals and has been commissioned on numerous occasions by the city of Paris.
